- โข Never pay any fee to secure a task or service lead.
- โข Avoid unsafe private locations and let someone know where you are going for in-person work.
๐ฐAgree Scope and Payment Clearly
Task posters: Avoid large advance payments before scope, provider identity, and work details are clear.
Service providers: Do not start work that requires major time, travel, or materials until payment expectations are agreed.
โ๏ธUse Common Sense
If an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid offers promising unrealistic returns, "work-from-home riches," or "instant profits."
๐Never Share Financial Details
Never share sensitive information such as:

- โข OTPs or passwords
- โข PayPal, Payoneer, or similar account credentials

patas.lk never sends unsolicited emails asking for your personal information or login credentials. If you receive a suspicious message or link, do not click or reply โ report it immediately.
๐ธRequests to Use Money Transfer Services
Avoid transactions via Western Union, MoneyGram, or similar remittance services โ these are frequently used in scams. Only use direct payment methods with local verification.
๐ฆBeware of False Escrow or Advance-Payment Claims
patas.lk does not provide an escrow service or guarantee payment outside the platform. If someone claims otherwise, report it right away.

Watch out for scammers pretending to be patas.lk staff or "verification agents." Official communication will only come from @patas.lk email addresses.

Our team tracks reports and permanently removes users who violate our safety policies or attempt fraud.

If you suspect fraud or have been scammed:
- โข Report it to us immediately via support@patas.lk
- โข Contact your nearest police station or the Cyber Crime Investigation Division (CCID) for further action.
We take such reports seriously and cooperate with law enforcement to investigate fraudulent activity.
