patas.lk ("we," "our," or "us") is an online marketplace service operated in Sri Lanka. By accessing or using patas.lk (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before posting tasks, offering services, browsing, or interacting with the site.
1. General
Task posters, service providers, and users are solely responsible for ensuring that all content they post — including text, images, graphics, and video ("Content") — complies with applicable laws and regulations of Sri Lanka. patas.lk assumes no responsibility for any illegality, inaccuracies, or consequences arising from such Content.
By submitting Content, users confirm that:
- They own or have permission to use the Content.
- The Content does not infringe on any copyright, intellectual property, or other rights.
- The Content complies with patas.lk's task, service, and profile posting guidelines.
patas.lk reserves the right to edit, refuse, or remove any Content that violates these Terms, legal requirements, or community standards.
2. Copyright & Intellectual Property
By submitting or posting Content, you grant patas.lk a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, and distribute your Content across patas.lk and affiliated digital channels for promotional or operational purposes.
All intellectual property on patas.lk, including software, trademarks, design elements, and branding, remains the property of patas.lk or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any part of the site's material without prior written consent.
3. Images & Watermarks
Images uploaded to tasks, service posts, or business profiles on patas.lk may be watermarked to prevent unauthorized use. Watermarks cannot be removed or altered. patas.lk reserves the right to reject images that are irrelevant, misleading, or violate posting rules.
4. Safety & Conduct
Users are expected to act responsibly when interacting with others. patas.lk may cooperate with law enforcement authorities if any Content or transaction is suspected to violate Sri Lankan law.
To maintain platform integrity:
- Offensive or fraudulent content may be removed without notice.
- Repeated violations can lead to account suspension or permanent banning.
- IP addresses and account details may be recorded for fraud prevention and compliance.
5. Privacy & Data Collection
We collect and process information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using patas.lk, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal information for:

- Customer support

While we strive to ensure continuous service, patas.lk does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The platform is provided "as is" and may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen issues.
9. Third-Party Links
patas.lk may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of third-party sites. Accessing these sites is at your own risk.
10. Paid Features & Promotions
Certain features (such as featured task placements, profile boosts, lead tools, or memberships) may require payment. By purchasing such services, you agree to the pricing, billing terms, and promotional rules displayed at the time of purchase. All payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
11. Memberships & Business Profiles
For businesses and service providers, patas.lk may create a dedicated business profile page displaying your services, tasks, and public contact details. patas.lk reserves the right to review, edit, or remove profile content that violates any term of service or policy.
12. Disclaimer
patas.lk assumes no liability for:
- The accuracy, legality, quality, or availability of task and service posts;
- Loss or damage resulting from use of the platform;
- Agreements, payments, work outcomes, or communications between task posters and service providers;
- Temporary service disruptions or technical issues.
All use of patas.lk is at your own risk.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless patas.lk, its operators, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.
14. Modifications
patas.lk reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on this page, and continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of patas.lk are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
